Ball Corporation specializes in the manufacture of plastic and metal packaging for beverages, foods and household products. Their Milwaukee facility began operations in 1974 as part of the Miller Brewing Can Division. In 1986 the back end was modernized and the three back end lines were replaced with two higher speed lines. In 1993, the can division was sold to Reynolds Metals Company. It was acquired by Ball Corporation in 1998. In 2002, the plant was expanded to accommodate a 2-piece food can line and warehouse.
